We wanted to give you an update to our process. We have created a new timeline due to the cancelled meeting on the 17th. By doing this, we will be allowing for even more opportunities for the community to participate and give feedback.
Here is the new plan:
The survey that is currently online will be open until February 28th. This will allow for folks to respond through your winter break. You have done a fantastic job of getting the word out, as of right now we have almost 700 responses! Keep up the good work!
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, March 14th. As usual it will be from 6-8 in the PLC at the Central Office. Prior to this meeting I will post the results from the survey, so keep an eye out for an email saying it is posted. At this meeting, we will go through the results and create some final boundary options based on community feedback. We will be taking these to the community.
Wednesday, March 28th- New date for community meeting! We will be presenting our final options to the community at this meeting.
Wednesday, April 11th- (TENTATIVE) Steering Committee meeting
April 17th- Recommendation will be presented to the School Board
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. We completely understand if you are unable to make it to one or more of these dates, if that is the case let me know and I will do my best to get you the materials you need prior to the meeting so we can include your input. Just to recap, here is the new schedule again:
February 6th- Steering committee meeting cancelled
March 14th- Steering committee meeting, 6-8pm
March 28th- Community Meeting @ Decatur HS – 6:30-8:30pm
April 11th- Tentative Steering committee meeting – 6-8pm
April 17th- School Board meeting
